This wine is bright crimson in colour with powerful aromas of plums and blackberry. It also has a tight, restrained palate featuring smooth, rich, dark fruit flavours with a nice hint of black pepper and flint.
This great Shiraz finishes with a young, tight, fine grained tannin finish that lingers and augurs well for a long future.
Whilst very enjoyable now, this wine will continue to evolve and develop over the next 3-5 years to become much more velvety and complex. It is truly “a keeper”.
This wine now makes an ideal accompaniment to rich, opulent food dishes. Then, as it mellows with age it will evolve into being a great accompaniment to dishes of medium-richness.
Our firth vintage release from the Shiraz block no.2. Planted in 2011 following the Carménère. The clone used for our Shiraz planting is sourced from old Tahbilk vines known for there deep rubyesque colour and savoury flavours.
